Tim Diego is the Senior Managing Director of private equity firm Windgate Capital, LP and was recently elected as the Chairman of the Finance Committee on the Board of Directors for the Centro Espanol de Tampa. The Centro Espanol de Tampa is a private club that was established more than 100 years ago for the benefit of Spanish immigrants. Members were able to gain access to improved medical care that their often low incomes would not have otherwise allowed. First established with 186 members, this number swelled to more than 3,500 and Tim Diego has vowed to “see that this club returns to such grandeur”.

Private equity firm Windgate Capital, LP has certainly been performing well under the guidance of Tim Diego and if this is any barometer of success then the Centro Espanol de Tampa can expect very good results too. In October, it was announced that Windgate Capital, LP shareholders were to receive an extra 15 cent dividend on all shares and, more recently, it was announced that they company would be opening its doors to a second office this time based in London.

Following the news of this proposed opening, Tim Diego stated that “now is the time to buy, buy, buy” but that he would not be straying from his principle to “only look at the SWAN deals”. This statement shows that Tim is more than capable of generating excellent results without attracting too much risk in any of his deals; something that Centro Espanol de Tampa is certain to be pleased with.
